The first weekend of June a group of friends and I partook in our first 48 hour film competition in St. Louis.

We rocked shirts with our awesome team name, Mojitos n' Doritos, and were super pumped to get things rolling. The pressure was on, not only because this was our first competition ever, but also because we were bound and determined to beat our teacher who was also competing with his own team.

We ended up making a political film about a man, Sam Cantwell, who is trying to beat another man, Patrick Pinkman, for the mayoral office. Pinkman reveals to Cantwell that he has cancer, and asks Cantwell to back off a bit with the harsh political ads. It's asshole versus asshole in this short film. And thanks to one of my jobs, we filmed in an actual government setting, which paid off big time.

We didn't win anything while our teacher won almost everything. But give it a year, and we will see what happens! Check out the video below!

I edited the opening political ad and the credits. Other than at, I was a writer, assistant director, camera operator for the two shot of the picnic table scene, and the female intern.
